A Personal Message from
Reverend Bhagavan Friend,
Founder of The Redondo Beach Memorial Day
Parade and Tribute

I am deeply grateful that God Guided me to found The Redondo Beach Memorial Day Parade and Tribute to America's Fallen Heroes. When God called me to begin the Parade and Tribute, it was NOT to create a work that would be forever my own, but to create an ongoing Patriotic TRADITION in Redondo Beach that would serve to inspire Patriotism and Love of America in the hearts and minds of all Citizens, young and old. My own greatest desire was that the Parade and Tribute would serve as a constant reminder and inspiration to the young people of Redondo Beach.

Now God has called me to turn to a greater focus on my Religious Work. I am, therefore, deeply grateful and tremendously happy that Lt. Col. Ken Falasco and The Redondo Union High School Junior ROTC have come forward and offered to take on The Parade and Tribute as an ongoing ROTC project. This means that this Parade and Tribute will be produced by the very young people into whose hands and hearts I wanted to place it.

I am proud to announce that the process of transferring the entire Redondo Beach Memorial Day Parade and Tribute Corporation and our entire bank account to The Junior ROTC has been completed. A ceremony commemorating the "Changing of The Guard" took place in Veteran's Park on Thursday December 16, at 1 p.m. near the Band Shell.

These past first two years of the Parade and Tribute have been a difficult beginning. We met with many "insurmountable" obstacles. But, with God's Help and Guidance and the love and support of all of our good friends and supporters, we overcame all obstacles and produced two great Parades and Tributes to Honor America's Fallen Heroes.

I can say with certainty that I and my The Soldiers of The Light and all who volunteered their time and energies have paved the way for The Redondo Union High School Junior ROTC to be successful in their new endeavor. Further more, I and the rest of the Soldiers of The Light will be standing by to lend any advice or assistance that is necessary to get the ROTC through their first year and create a successful parade.

I sincerely request that you and all of our friends and supporters will give all of the support to The Junior ROTC that you have so generously given to myself and The Soldiers of The Light and our Board of Directors over these past two years. This Parade and Tribute now truly belongs to all of the People of Redondo Beach!

See you at the
2005 Redondo Beach
Memorial Day Parade and Tribute!

God Bless you.
God Bless America!
